Vivekanand Education Society runs 26 Institutions in the vicinity of Chembur, Mumbai. The society runs pre-primary, primary, secondary schools, degree College, professional colleges & other Institutions. The society caters to lower cadre and economically backward classes and plays an important role in giving education for the development of backward classes. The Institution is the vision of Shri Hashu Advani ji, a great social worker.

Courses Offered by Vivekananda Education Society:

There are mainly 3 broad categories of courses offered by Vivekananda Education Society. The categories are self-financing, aided and additional credit programs.

Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS):It is a full-time course and the duration is generally of 3 years. The minimum eligibility to opt for this course is the HSC examination passed with minimum 45% marks for the general category and 40% for the reserved categories. The candidates will also be eligible if they have passed a diploma in any engineering branches for two, three or four years after passing the SSC by Board of Technical education or equivalent.

Bachelor of Mass Media: To opt for this Bachelor degree course, the candidates must have passed their 12^th standard examination from Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with any stream like, Commerce, Science or Humanities

M.Com – Accountancy:The candidates, who wish to pursue M. Com (Accountancy) from this institute, should complete Bachelor of Commerce from this university (Integrate course of three years) or BMS degree or B. Com (Insurance and Banking) from any other university which are recognized equivalently.

M.A. Psychology: The course is divided into core and elective sections. Within the core syllabi, you can find subjects like Statistics for Psychology, Evolutionary Psychology, Personality Psychology, Psychology Assessment Practical, Intervention Systems in Psychology and many others. Among the syllabi of elective course, there are subjects like Practicum in Industrial Psychology, Group therapy, Human Resource Management, Personality disorders, Organizational development and many others.

MSC-Organic Chemistry:This is a course with a very limited number of seats which is 10 in number. 7 out of 10 seats are allotted in the general admission process. The remaining 3 seats are fulfilled depending on the merits of the students who have graduated from this institute.

Bachelor of Arts:Students who have passed Std. XII with Science, Commerce or Arts stream with some vocational subjects are eligible for admission in the Bachelor of Arts course. The compulsory papers in this particular course are Economics, Psychology, sociology with English and Hindi.

Bachelor of Commerce:The candidates who wish to pursue B. Com must have English as one of the compulsory subjects in their HSC level. They should complete 12^th standard with Science or Commerce stream and with some compulsory vocational subjects.

Bachelor of Science: Students who have passed XII with science stream is eligible for this course. If the candidates are from other state, they must have English as one of the compulsory subjects in their HSC examination.
